Abdul started dancing at the age of 12 with Ugandan traditional dance in schools and communities. 14 years later is currently the
Artistic Director of Tabu Flo Dance Company, crowned Uganda’s best dance crew in 2011, and a founding member, teacher of the Breakdance Project Uganda, An NGO which uses breakdance to catalyze positive social change among youth throughout Uganda.
Through this NGO he has experience in teaching all age groups mostly the young and the old as he has led several dance workshops in Prisons, streets, ghettos, Schools, organizations and war affected areas of northern Uganda since 2006.
He completed his Bachelor’s degree in International Business, since2004 he has been pursuing photography and acting as an art and career path, as well as.
Beginning 2007 with a visit to Denmark for the global democracy day, he has toured Europe (Germany, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland etc.) Africa and the U.S. as a performing artist, choreographer and dance teacher of Afro hip-­‐-­‐-­‐hop and break-­‐dance.
Highlights from his work abroad have included in 2010, Becoming the Ugandan hip-­‐-­‐-­‐hop dance Ambassador to the U.S. collaborating with other hip-­‐-­‐-­‐hop dance pioneers from the U.S. and around the world on a series of dance projects.
Abdul continues to be a force by sharing all his skills professionally and development of dance as a therapy.
